Work with a writer who cares as much about your readers as you do.
I’m not into marketing frameworks. But here’s what I am into…
Whenever you write something and share it publicly, whether it’s a website, email, book, article, or whatever, a few different things can happen.
Yes, it can help you make sales, get donations, scale your knowledge, and achieve your goals in that way makes a valuable impact. But it can also help you create whatever emotions you’re looking to create for other people.
Language makes us feel things in our bodies. (That’s why poems exist.) So, your writing has value in itself, because it has impact in itself.
Depending on how you use it, all of the language you put out there has the capacity to…
Hurt people, or…
Be meaningless, or annoying, or confusing, or…
Have the emotional impact you want to have on the people who engage with you and your brand.
Especially if your brand message holds complex topics — like societal injustice, inequitable access to opportunity, people’s deep emotions, environmental sustainability, and so on — you need to take care with the words you choose.
I know this because I’ve studied not only the way words are capable of causing immeasurable harm, but also the relationships between writing and healing, between communication and love.
That’s why I can help you connect with and take care of the people you want to reach in writing.
If you want to work with a writer who cares as much about your readers as you do, let’s connect.
I’ve worked with 34 brands (and counting). Every client I’ve ever worked with has been happy with their project.
In case you want to see qualitative stats, I’ve written…
An event sales page that made over $1 million USD — more than doubling the previous year’s attendance and revenue records
Edits to a book that became ready to publish immediately after the project — after 3 years of being stuck in the editing phase
Course curricula for thousands of students
A website that saved its founder 5+ hours a week on talking to unqualified leads
Scripts for a virtual course that had 100% completion rate and 100% positive feedback from students
Regular email newsletters to a list of 60,000+ subscribers
Numbers are great. But, I’m more of a words-and-feelings person. Here are the results that I care way more about:
“I am starting to feel more free as I lean more deeply into the truth of who I am and what work I have done. Elena helped me get to the bottom of not only my offering, but also some deep healing and uncovering to get closer to my authentic self.”
— Julie, Founder, Roots Up (re: this website)
“Working in finance, it’s easy to direct my focus solely on the numbers. Metrics are important, but it’s equally important to take a more holistic look and really hear the story of the journey that one of your clients has gone through, which is how a case study feels. After doing this project, I felt more affirmed in what my mission and more confident that I’m actually achieving it.”
— Cole, Founder, Ladies Talking About Money (re: this case study)
“Thank you SO very much for your thoughtful work to understand and capture our mission and vision. On first run through, I stopped many times to audibly express, ‘Wow!’ It is a gift to have your help in synthesizing the work that we are doing.”
— Heather, Founder, The Good Crust (re: this About page)
“Want copy that’ll resonate? Hire Elena. She’s one of the rare copywriters that takes three steps back and really thinks about what the reader should be feeling at every point of the page, and she’s mastered how to gently pull someone through an emotional journey. Bottom line: Elena’s the kind of copywriter who will make your best-fit customer feel genuinely excited about doing business with you—and that’s why you want her on your team.”
Grace Baldwin (she/her), Enterprise B2B SaaS Copywriter
“Elena worked to ensure that our website copy and messaging was representative of organization history, mission, and identity, as well as integrating broader staff input. She ensured our rebrand project proceeded smoothly and on timeline.”
Mia Abrahams (she/her), Director of Development and Communications, Youth Justice Network
